Angel, Shaina, Toni and Bea's Anti-Gravity Yoga Featured in Matanglawin (February 9)

Posted on February 8, 2014 | 9:21 AM

Matanglawin goes to the extreme this Sunday (Feb 9) as Kim Atienza dares to experience some of Filipinos’ extreme past time activities, from skateboarding to bike palo, drumming, and anti-gravity yoga.

Angel, Shaina, Toni and Bea's Anti-Gravity Yoga Featured in Matanglawin (February 9)

Watch Kuya Kim take it to the streets as he learns more about skateboards from Pinoy skateboard group We Legendary. What are the various tricks you can do with this popular board with wheels?

From skateboards, the Trivia King hops into a bike with a mallet on his hand to try the Bike Palo. If you think polo is only done on horseback or in the pool, Bike Palo Philippines gives the famous sport a new twist.

The adrenaline rush continues to the beat of the drum played by Ravi and Renz. With the young age of eight, these two drummers have reflexes as quick as lightning and can make music that would make any rock band proud.

Meanwhile, Kuya Kim slows it down a bit by doing some yoga classes, but instead of doing it on the floor, he will do it while in the air via the anti-gravity yoga. This exercise is said to help one strengthen his/her spine and improve one’s flexibility and blood circulation. This unique yoga style is such a big hit even to celebrities like Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Shaina Magdayao, and Bea Alonzo.

Gear up and get ready for another exciting adventure in “Matanglawin,” 9:30 AM, on ABS-CBN. For more updates, follow @matanglawintv on Twitter or like www.facebook.com/matanglawintv.

Bea Alonzo's Teleserye Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon Faces Legal Issues

Posted on February 6, 2014 | 7:38 PM

The upcoming teleserye of Bea Alonzo titled Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon is facing legal issues after director Romy Suzara claimed that he has the intellectual rights over the said title.

Bea Alonzo's Teleserye Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon

"Sana nag-research 'yung title nito. Bakit sa dami ng titles na pwede nilang pagpilian. bakit Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon? Napakahirap at that time na mag-isip kami ng isang title so 'yun ang naisip ko. Sa katunayan nga ay nagpagawa pa ko ng kanta kay George Canseco, theme song ng Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon," said Suzara referring to his movie of the same title back then.

"Sana na abisuhan man lang ako na 'direk sa iyo pala ito.' 'Yun lang. Gusto kong malaman nila na kaya ako nagrereklamo ngayon kasi na bypass ako. Kung hindi siguro nila ako papansinin baka magkaroon ng legal na kuwan pero nasa paguusapan lahat 'yan. Wala naman masama doon kung mag-uusap kami," he said.

"Hindi naman pera-pera yan. Kamukha 'yan ng kapag gumawa ka ng nobela ni Carlo Caparas, nakalagay ang pangalang 'Carlo Caparas.' 'Yun lang ang gusto ko, i-acknowledge lang nila na sa akin ang title," Suzara added.

Meanwhile, the management said the title of the upcoming soap was derived from the song Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon and not from Suzara's movie.

"Ang titulong 'Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon' ay hango sa theme song na may parehong pamagat. Ang kanta ay pag-aari ng BAMI na nasa ilalim na rin ng Star Records na kabilang sa Kapamilya network. Titulo at kanta lamang ang may pagkakatulad pero hindi ang kwento," the management said in a statement.

Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon is one of the first offerings of ABS-CBN this 2014. Aside from Bea, the said teleserye will also star Albert Martinez, Paulo Avelino, Susan Roces, Dina Bonnevie, Tonton Gutierrez, Maricar Reyes and Ms. Anita Linda.

Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino Topbill Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon Teleserye

Posted on January 9, 2014 | 5:51 PM

Movie queen Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino will be paired for the first time in the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon. This is Bea's comeback project on television after A Beautiful Affair ended early last year.

Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon

The project was unveiled in a press conference held earlier. This new ABS-CBN teleserye, which is a collaboration of Rondel Lindayag with director Trina Dayrit, is set to feature Bea Alonzo portraying three different characters.

Bea and Paulo will be joined by an ensemble of actors from different generations which include Albert Martinez, Ronaldo Valdez, Dina Bonnevie, Tonton Gutierrez, Iza Calzado, Michelle Vito and two of of the most respected veteran actors in the country, Ms. Anita Linda and Ms. Susan Roces.

This will be the first time that Bea will be working with the cast, except for Ms. Anita Linda and Ronaldo Valdez who already worked with the actress in the movie The Mistress.

Meanwhile, Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon will be a reunion of sorts to Ms. Susan Roces and Paulo Avelino, who previously worked together in Walang Hanggan, and to Tonton Gutierrez and Dina Bonnevie who were part of Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.

Produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon is slated to premiere this 2014.

Bea Alonzo Considers Playing Dyesebel; Returns to TV Early 2014

Posted on December 14, 2013 | 11:17 AM

Actress Bea Alonzo is willing to play the love-lorn mermaid Dyesebel when the character returns on television for the much-anticipated ABS-CBN remake of the famous Mars Ravelo work.

Bea Alonzo comeback teleserye slated for release early 2014

Bea Alonzo was believed to play Dyesebel because of her Instagram posts showing the actress' fondness of swimming nowadays. In an interview with entertainment site Pep.ph, Bea said that if ever the role will be given to her, she will consider it as this will be her very first fantaserye if ever.

However, Bea Alonzo might not be donning the mermaid costume since her comeback teleserye on ABS-CBN next year will be a drama. This was revealed by the actress to ABS-CBN News, saying that she's excited to give life to another character which is totally different from her past roles.

"Basta istorya ito ng paghihiganti. Maganda siya. Mature siya for me pero nandiyan tayo, let’s try new things all the time," she said.

According to Bea, the series might start grinding January for release first quarter of 2014. Bea, however, refused to divulge further details about the project, including the actors who will be joining her in the said teleserye.

"I’m doing a soap. Hindi pa yata puwede sabihin kasi wala pang final, may ginagawa pa kasi 'yung dapat kong makakasama. Sana matuloy kasi hindi ko pa sila ever nakakasama.”

The upcoming project will be under Dreamscape Entertainment of Deo Endrinal.

Bea Alonzo was last seen on a teleserye via A Beautiful Affair, her reunion series with John Lloyd Cruz, which ended early 2013. For the rest of the year, Bea became busy with movie projects such as Four Sisters and A Wedding  and She's The One, which both did well in the box office.

ABS-CBN Mobile Now Available; 100,000 Free Sim Cards Given Away to Yolanda Survivors

Posted on November 20, 2013 | 8:31 PM

ABS-CBNmobile announced it is giving away 100,000 SIM cards for free to the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda to help them connect and communicate with their loved ones.

Piolo, John Lloyd, Bea, Kim and Enrique for ABS-CBNmobile

The announcement was made at ABS-CBN’s “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na! An All-Star Benefit Concert” aired on ABS-CBN Sunday night (Nov 17) by actor Piolo Pascual, who also appears in the TV spot along with ABS-CBN stars John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, and Enrique Gil.

The SIM cards will be given away along with relief packages, in tandem with Sagip Kapamilya relief efforts in several Yolanda-hit areas.

Each ABS-CBNmobile SIM card has free prepaid load worth P50, 15 free texts to all networks, and 5MB of Internet that the survivors can use to connect with their loved ones.

Kapamilyas outside the calamity areas can help too. ABS-CBNmobile will make available another 100,000 SIM cards to sell in Metro Manila and other areas not affected by the typhoon to enable the sharing of load with the survivors.

Just buy ABS-CBNmobile SIM cards found in sari-sari stores and tiangges and share load by texting Share<space><amount> and send to 2131. Any of the following load amounts can be shared: P10, P20, P50, P100.

All load shared will be collected and distributed to the Yolanda survivors. To find out how much load has been shared, ABS-CBNmobile SIM card subscribers can text Share<space>Status to 2131. All transactions to 2131 are free.

Given the limited telecom signal and access to television currently being experienced in Yolanda-ravaged areas, ABS-CBNmobile and SkyCable have also partnered to put up TV viewing stations and calling centers, starting with Tacloban and to be rolled out in other key calamity areas. The viewing and calling centers will be available until power and communication lines in affected areas have normalized.

To find out the locations where ABS-CBNmobile SIMs are now available, just call 7878 through your ABS-CBNmobile SIM card or 266-7878 from your landline.
