Survivor: Philippines 18 Castaways Revealed for Season 25

CBS has just revealed the 18 castaways for Survivor: Philippines, the 25th season of the hit US reality television series Survivor, which will premiere on September 19, 2012. Survivor: Philippines was shot on the famous Caramoan Islands in Camarines Sur, the venue for 12 other Survivor editions from different countries

The season will feature 15 new castaways competing with three returning castaways who were removed from their previous seasons due to illness or injury. The said three castaways were Michael Skupin (Survivor: The Australian Outback), Jonathan Penner (Survivor: Cook Islands and Survivor: Micronesia), and Russell Swan (Survivor: Samoa). 


Each returning player will be on a different tribe, meaning the show is moving back to a three-tribe format for the first time since season Survivor: All Stars back in season 8. It will also be the seventh season to feature returning castaways. The names of the tribes were Kalabaw (Water Buffalo), Matsing (Monkey) and Tandang (Rooster).

'Survivor: Philippines' (Survivor US Season 25) Spoilers

After host Jeff Probst announced the new location and big twist of the 25th season of Survivor, speculations and spoilers hit the web.

Survivor USA 25th edition will be called Survivor: Philippines (watch the teaser promo here) which is filmed and shot on-location at the famous Caramoan Islands, Philippines, the venue for 12 other Survivor editions from different countries.The season will feature several new castaways competing with three returning castaways who were removed from their previous seasons due to illness or injury. It will be the first season since Survivor: All-Stars to begin with three tribes and the seventh season overall to feature returning castaways.

Many speculate about the identity of the three returning castaways.  The three names which immediately surfaced were Michael Skupin (Survivor: The Australian Outback), Jonathan Penner (Survivor: Micronesia) and Russell Swan (Survivor: Samoa).

Other spoilers from the islands of Caramoan were also making rounds. A message of warning: the reader must take these spoilers with a grain of salt. It may or may not really happen.

The 25th season of Survivor, as we all know will be starting out with 3 tribes of 6 members each. The names of the tribe were Kalabaw (Carabao), Matsing (Monkey) and Tandang (Rooster).

According to sources from the islands of Caramoan, the top 5 castaways that were left in the game were part of a 6-person alliance that got to the end. The top 5 consisted of 2 male and three female castaways. One of the 3 females is Brazilian while the other two were Caucasian. For the males, sources claimed that one of them is young and the other one is old.

As what was previously reported, the sources claimed that the 26th season of Survivor will also be filmed at the Caramoan Islands, Philippines for which there will be 20 castaways (2 tribes of 10).

Survivor: Philippines is Survivor USA's 25th Season

The hit US reality show Survivor will be moving from Samoa to the Caramoan Islands in the Philippines for its 25th season which will be called Survivor: Philippines. The filming for the 25th season of Survivor recently wrapped up and the teaser for the new season premiered on Survivor: One World reunion show.

Host Jeff Probst revealed some details about the return of Survivor this fall. Aside from its shooting location in the Caramoan Islands, Philippines, Jeff Probst also revealed the show's big twist.

In Survivor: Philippines (Season 25), there will be will be three returning players, each of whom was medically evacuated in a previous season. Each returning player will be on a different tribe, meaning the show is moving back to a three-tribe format for the first time since season Survivor: All Stars back in season 8. It will also be the seventh season to feature returning castaways.

Based on the video, the three tribes name will be Kalabaw (Carabao) with the red flag, Matsing (Monkey) with the blue flag and Tandang (Rooster) with the yellow one.
