Recently, the two were seen together in the movie screening of Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel which also stars Sam Milby, Slater's friend and colleague from Cornerstone talent agency. When asked if he is courting Rachelle, Slater said:

"Malayo siya, eh. Papaalis..."

Rachelle Ann Go will be leaving for London in March 2014 for the West End revival of the hit musical Miss Saigon where she was chosen to play the role of Vietnamese bar girl Gigi Van Tranh, previously played by Isay Alvarez.

Divine Maitland-Smith Says Rhian Ramos is her Crush

Posted on May 1, 2012 | 10:14 AM

PBB Unlimited's Divine Maitland-Smith disappoints Slavine fans after confessing that her showbiz crush is Rhian Ramos and not Slater Young. Both Divine and Slater guested on The Buzz last Sunday, April 29.

Divine said in her The Buzz interview that she likes Slater but as we all know, Divine's sexual preference is not the kind of Slater and besides, she had a girlfriend.

“If my sexual preference was different, of course, I would be interested in Slater. Pero, I am a lesbian and proud of it but Slater has the characteristics of a guy that I would be looking for if I were straight,” said Divine.

Slater Young had admitted that Divine is his ultimate crush. Even inside the PBB house, Slater had his liking towards Divine. One time while partying inside Kuya's house, the two shared a kiss as part of a dare. He said he did not hesitate to kiss Divine because they were very close and with the knowledge that he doesn't have a chance as Divine is in a relationship outside.

Meanwhile, Divine admitted that Slater has all the qualities a woman would like in a man saying that the PBB Unlimited big winner is very manly and has a lot of charm.

“He’s very manly. Because I would prefer a more manly guy. He’s very manly, he opens the door, he’s very charming, he’s lahat. He’s a good guy,” shared Divine.

“Pero I know who I am and I’ve been this way since bata ako so…I mean I love Slater so much but… I don’t know. As for now, I know who I am,” she added.

When asked if she is willing to take part in a love team with Slater if a showbiz project knocks, Divine welcomed the possibility of a true Slavine team up.

“I would love to do it. It’s a big challenge for me. Plus we’d have so much fun working together,” ended Divine.

BAVE made it to the number 1 trending topics worldwide on Sunday after one of the guests, a beauty contestant uttered the said term in an acting dare together with Slater. The beauty contestant and Slater played a couple and the girl told Slater:

"BAVE, do you love meh?"

On the show, Slater Young also admitted that he is no longer inexperienced when it comes to sex.

Host Vice Ganda asked Slater if he is still a virgin and the hotshot engineer from Cebu quickly answered, "Hindi po" which made the fans and Vice Ganda burst in excitement.

Slater Young Appeared in a Music Video of ex-PDA Scholar

Posted on April 11, 2012 | 12:34 PM

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited Big Winner Slater Young had a guest appearance in a music video for the song What I Meant by Bunny Malunda, a Pinoy Dream Academy scholar. The music video is part of Bunny's debut album, written and produced by Muller and Patton. The said music video is directed by Erick M. Crespo.

Watch What I Meant music video of Bunny Malunda with Slater Young (lyrics below).

What I Meant by Bunny Malunda Lyrics

When I said it was over
I meant it has just begun
sorry if I'm making you confused
When I said you are awful
I meant you are awful cute
Don't listen to those ugly words I used

The fact is I'm afraid to open up my heart
And all the tender phrases I rehearse
Come out all upside down and in reverse

When I said no I meant yes
When I said go I meant stay
I just can't help it I guess
I never mean what I say
When I said hate I meant love
When I said don't I meant do
And when I said goodbye I meant
I'm so in love with you

When I said stay away from me
I meant come over here
I'm sorry if you can't connect the dots
I told you I was sick of you
But I can't get enough
My words don't seem to line up with my thoughts

The fact is I'm in love
and this is new to me
my heart feels like it's ready to explode
and everything I say comes out in code

When I said no I meant yes
When I said go I meant stay
I just can't help it I guess
I never mean what I say
When I said hate I meant love
When I said don't I meant do
And when I said goodbye I meant
I'm so in love with you

Up is down, black is white
right is wrong, wrong is right
one plus one equals three
Just look what you've done to me

When I said no I meant yes
When I said go I meant stay
I just can't help it I guess
I never mean what I say
When I said hate I meant love
When I said don't I meant do
And when I said goodbye I meant
I'm so in love with you

When I said go I meant stay
I just can't help it I guess
I never mean what I say
When I said hate I meant love
When I said don't I meant do
And when I said goodbye I meant
I'm so in love with you.

Slater Young To Live His Showbiz Dream

Posted on April 9, 2012 | 12:37 PM

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited Big Winner Slater Young, a licensed civil engineer, had decided to try his luck in showbiz after winning PBB. The 24-year old Cebuano considers himself more of an actor than a dancer or singer.

Slater revealed in his PEP interview that he will undergo acting workshops to prepare himself for future projects and according his handlers, Slater shows great potential in his past workshops and acting exercises.

Dancing is really Slater's waterloo and described it as his Achilles' heel. He said that he would rather sing than dance in a production number.

Slater knew that being in showbiz is so much harder than what he had been through inside Kuya’s house, but he said that he is willing to give his all to his dream of joining showbiz.

Slater was overwhelmed with the overflowing support he had received from the time he was still inside until now that he's been proclaimed Big Winner in the said reality show. There are fans craving for his tandem with his closest friends inside the house, Divine (SlaVine) and Tin (SlaTin) whom Slater admitted he has a crush with.

Although very thankful, a forward-looking Slater knows that a lot of work is still at hand. The PBB Unlimited Big Winner and the very first male winner in a regular edition said that he intends to work extra hard to be worthy of the support he have been blessed with.

Last night, Slater and the rest of the Big 4 appeared in a production number during the PBB Teens 4 'Fun-Tastic Kick off.' With new housemates entering the house (and possible competitions), Slater confessed that he feel pressured but he will just focus on the things that he could work on - and do his best.

Slater Young is PBB Unlimited Big Winner!

Posted on March 31, 2012 | 11:41 PM

Slater Young is hailed as the Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited Big Winner at the PBB Big Night held at the Qurino Grandstand tonight, March 31. The 'Hotshot Engineer of Cebu' garnered the most number of votes from an overnight 'one vote per sim' voting scheme which started last night.

Pamu Pamorada is the 2nd Big Placer followed by Joseph Biggel and Paco Evangelista  in 3rd and 4th place, respectively.

Slater made history as the very first male Big Winner in a PBB regular season. All three regular seasons had female Big Winners - Nene Tamayo (Season1), Beatriz Saw (Season 2) and Melai Cantiveros (Season 3-Double Up).

Slater took home 2 million pesos cash, an appliance showcase, Sony internet TV, an Asian Tour Package for 2 and Crystal Clear business franchise. Pamu, Biggel and Paco won P1 million, P500 000 and P300 000, respectively plus appliance showcase from Whirlpool and Fujidenzo.

Here is the final percentage of votes obtained by the PBB Big 4:

Big Winner - Slater Young (40.02%)
2nd Big Placer - Pamu Pamorada (21.49%)
3rd Big Placer - Joseph Biggel (21.39%)
4th Big Placer - Paco Evangelista (17.10%)

After this successful Big Night at the Grandstand, PBB fever continues as the PBB house open its doors again for teens on Easter Sunday, April 8 for the PBB Teen Edition 4 'The Fun-Tastic Kick Off.'

Hosts Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez and Robi Domingo will now be joined by  the Dancefloor Dynamite, John Prats for this ultimate teen summer experience.

Tomorrow, catch the PBB Unlimited Big 4 for a grand party on ASAP 2012 with our new BIG WINNER, Slater.

After five months of unlimited twists and excitement, we are now down to our PBB BIG 4 and tomorrow night, March 31, Pamu, Slater, Biggel and Paco will all be heading at the Quirino Grandstand for the Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited "Big Night at the Grandstand” where one of them will be proclaimed as this season's BIG WINNER.

PBB Unlimited BIG 4 Announced!

Posted on March 28, 2012 | 11:02 PM

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited has finally uncovered this edition's BIG 4 three days before the Big Night at the Grandstand. This was after an overnight one vote per sim voting.

The PBB Unlimited Big 4

  • Pamu Pamorada - 12.51%
  • Paco Evangelista - 16.91%
  • Joseph Emil Biggel - 15.56%
  • Jan Slater Young - 49.51%
The last evictee of the season happened to be Divine Maitland-Smith who got the lowest percentage of fan votes with only 5.51%.

It can be noted that Slater moved from the last voting tally 4 notches to get to the top. Biggel eventually fell to 3rd place while Paco moved up to 2nd place. Pamu remained in the 4th spot, enough to topple Divine which  dropped to 5th place. This big change in the percentage of votes tally is the effect of one vote per sim overnight voting.

Now that we already have our PBB BIG 4, it's time to choose our BIG WINNER. Voting will be reset and the Big 4's votes will be back to zero. The start of voting for the Big winner will be announced in later episodes (perhaps tomorrow) so watch out for more updates on PBB Unlimited.

Watch the PBB Unlimited Big Night live this Saturday, March 31 at the Quirino Grandstand. Admission is free so better get there early to have the most convenient place. Don't forget to bring your umbrellas.

Will it be 'Big 4' or 'Big 5' in PBB Unlimited?

Posted on March 26, 2012 | 7:45 PM

Tin named newest evictee. Biggel leads latest overnight voting.

Before viewers get to vote for their favorite housemate for the Big Winner title, the five remaining housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited” namely Biggel, Divine, Paco, Pamu, and Slater have to first go through a special challenge that will give them the chance to grab another slot to add to the usual Big Four slots at the Big Night.

For the first time in PBB history, the housemates were offered the ‘Big Shot for a Big Slot’ task that will determine if all or only four of them will battle out for the Big Winner title at the much-awaited “PBB Unlimited: Big Night at the Grandstand” to be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila this Saturday (Mar 31).

If Biggel, Divine, Paco, Pamu, and Slater fail, one of them will get the boot. If they succeed, each of them will automatically secure a slot at the Big Night. What test will Big Brother give them now?

Meanwhile, mentions on Tin, who was evicted from the Big Brother house last Saturday (Mar 24), flooded Twitter worldwide, clinching two spots in the micro-blogging site. Tin’s eviction shocked many viewers as she usually dominated previous voting polls in the season.

Tin, daughter of basketball superstar Alvin Patrimonio, fell short in gaining support from her fans and managed to garner only 11.50% of the votes versus Slater (14.16%), Pamu (17.26%), Paco (18.39%), Divine (19.20%), and Biggel (19.49%).

Who will go head-to-head for the Big Winner title at the Big Night? Don’t miss the exciting developments in the season’ last week in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay” with Bianca Gonzalez weekdays after “Angelito: Batang Ama” in Kapamilya Gold and in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight” with Toni Gonzaga weeknights after “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” in Primetime Bida. Also stay tuned to “PBB Unlimited Updates” with Robi Domingo during “Angelito: Batang Ama” and “E-Boy” on ABS-CBN. Carlo and Wendy Spotted Together, Visited Kevin in Hospital

Posted on March 20, 2012 | 9:59 PM

Ex-housemates Carlo Romero and Wendy Tabusalla are spotted together this week. Carlo, who got evicted  just last March 17 from the PBB house seemed to have found a home in Wendy's arms.

It can be recalled that Wendy was waiting for Carlo outside the house during last Saturday's eviction while bannering a shirt with Carlo's name in it.

These two ex-housemates became very close inside the PBB house which became controversial since Wendy had a boyfriend outside (Lance Howard). Their new-found romance inside the house was interrupted when Wendy was evicted. Now that Wendy is totally single and ready to mingle and Carlo outside the house, will the romance between them brew again?

Well, with photos the here, it may seem that CaNdy is on once more!

Wendy and Carlo also visited another former housemate, Kevin Fowler in the hospital along with other ex-housemates. We can see the sweetness between Carlo and Wendy over the now healing Kevin Fowler.

Get well soon, Kevin!
All the best, CaNdy!

Paco 'came out' to Tin, Discovered by Slater

After successfully uncovering wildcard housemate Paco’s supposed homosexuality, a made-up lie he confessed to Tin, Big Brother challenged Slater to turn the tables on Paco and test his patience, a task successfully carried out by Paco as a house player.

Former evictee Paco, who was reconfirmed as an official housemate last weekend in “Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited,” had earlier ‘came out’ to Tin as a part of his house player duty. This week, will Slater prove to be as daring as Paco and be able to infuriate him?

Eleven days before the much-anticipated Big Night, Biggel, Divine, Paco, Pamu, Slater, and Tin have been tasked by Big Brother to complete a nonstop entertainment challenge where they have to come up with unlimited performances in 48 hours. The next evictee of the season will also be revealed this Saturday (Mar 24) in the program’s 14th eviction night.

Meanwhile, the Chicago native Carlo was evicted last Saturday (Mar 17) after garnering the lowest percentage of votes (18.54%) against Divine (21.01%), Slater (26.79%), and Biggel (33.67%). Carlo, meanwhile, expressed that he wants either Pamu or Carlo to become the Big Winner because of all the troubles they have so far endured in life.

Admission is free to people who want to watch the “PBB Unlimited: Big Night at the Grandstand” at the Quirino Grandstand in Maynila live next Saturday (Mar 31).

Don’t miss the exciting developments in the season’s last two weeks in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay” with Bianca Gonzalez weekdays after “Angelito: Batang Ama” in Kapamilya Gold and in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight” with Toni Gonzaga weeknights after “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” in Primetime Bida. Carlo is PBB Latest Evictee, Paco Back as Wildcard Housemate

Posted on March 18, 2012 | 7:27 AM

The 26 year old Carlo Romero from Chicago, Illinois was evicted March 17 on Pinoy Big Brother's 14th eviction night. Carlo got the lowest percentage of votes from among the nominated housemates. Here are the percentage votes tally for last night's eviction:

Courtesy of PBB Unlimited

Carlo Romero - 18.54%
Joseph Biggel - 33.67%
Divine Maitland-Smith - 21.01%
Slater Young - 26.79%

Carlo was welcomed by Wendy Tabusalla in the outside world, cheering and handing a shirt with Carlo's name in it. Now that Wendy is single and ready to mingle again, will Carlo pursue Wendy outside? This will be a good news for CaNdy fans.

Courtesy of Paco Facebook Official
Meanwhile, ex-housemate Paco Evangelista is back on the game as a wildcard housemate. After a 24-hour voting period which started last Thursday night, 73.37% of PBB fans who voted wanted Paco back as an official housemate while only 26.63% disagree. This decision will now give Paco the chance to be included in the Big 4 and eventually, for the coveted Big Winner title.

While this may be a good news for Paco's fans, many other PBB fans cried unfair for Big Brother's decision to give the said chance only to Paco, ignoring the other previously evicted housemates, more so the others that exit voluntarily.

Bea Saw of PBB Season 2 is Pregnant

Posted on March 17, 2012 | 1:07 AM

Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 big winner Beatriz Saw has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child.

Saw married her longtime boyfriend, Rocky Tan, last January. She recently entered the "PBB" house as one of Kuya's "fairy godmothers."

"Ngayon pumasok ako rito, dalawa kami. Pero hibi pa lang siya, parang 'yung maliit na hipon," she told Kuya on Wednesday night.

"Natatandaan mo ba si Aki? Nagpakasal na ako noong January. Masaya ako kasi 'yung relationship na pinasukan ko is 'yung pinagdadasal ko, which is, kumbaga, alam namin kung ano ang gusto namin," she added.

Saw then expressed her happiness that she was able share her newest blessing with this season's "PBB" housemates.

"Hindi ko akalain na madadala ko na siya rito," she said.

Kuya's Fairy Godmothers Grant Wishes in PBB Unlimited

Posted on March 13, 2012 | 4:13 PM

The remaining housemates suffered and fought back against the oppressive Don Baron and Donya Beauty last week, but this time, they are in for a treat as three former PBB Big Winners named as ‘Kuya’s Fairy Godmothers’ (KFGs) entered the famous house to make their wishes come true this week in Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited.

What will the housemates ask from former PBB Big Winners Nene Tamayo (Season 1), Beatriz Saw (Season 2), and Keanna Reeves (Celebrity Edition)? Aside from granting their requests, the KFGs will also give joy, inspiration, and encouragement to the remaining housemates who will battle for the four slots in the Big Night to be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on March 31 (Saturday).

Meanwhile, housemates Biggel, Carlo, Divine, at Slater are on the chopping block this week, and one of them will be losing the chance to enter the Big Four. The nominee who garnered the lowest percentage of votes in the overnight voting held yesterday will leave the Big Brother house in the eviction night on Saturday (Mar 17).

Big Brother continues to pull unlimited surprises as the housemates are split into two groups – Biggel, Pamu, and Tin remained in the ‘hacienda,’ while Carlo, Divine, and Slater, and house player Paco returned to the mansion. Last week’s tough physical tasks brought out the bold and brave in them, but more challenges loom for the housemates in their last three weeks in the house.

Meanwhile, the Dreamboy of California Kevin was finally evicted last Saturday (Mar 10) for garnering the lowest percentage of public votes (22.56%) against Carlo (24.56%), Biggel (25.02%), and Tin (27.86%). He left the house with Seiichi, who was named evictee last week.

Don’t miss the exciting developments in the season’s last three weeks in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay” with Bianca Gonzalez weekdays after “Angelito: Batang Ama” in Kapamilya Gold and in “Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight” with Toni Gonzaga weeknights after “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” in Primetime Bida. PBB Unlimited 'Power Of One' Rule Implemented

Posted on March 11, 2012 | 10:54 PM

Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited implemented a new process in voting. The so-called 'Power of One' twist will enable only 1 vote per sim card for the whole voting process which will last only for a day (or overnight voting). This new rule in voting will be a big factor in determining who among the nominated housemates is the true favorite of the masses.

This week, 4 housemates were nominated. They are Joseph Biggel, Carlo Romero, Divine Maithland-Smith and Slater Young. They were put into the list by getting at least 1 vote from fellow housemates, meaning the number of points given to each nominee has no bearing. Pamu and Tin were the only housemates who were not nominated by fellow housemates.

Meanwhile, former Big Winners Nene Tamayo, Beatriz Saw and Keanna Reeves will enter the house as Kuya's Fairy Godmothers who will grant wishes of lucky housemates.

Don't miss the last few days of PBB Unlimited as the Big Night will happen this March 31 at the Quirino Grandstand.

Kevin Fowler is PBB Latest Evictee!

The Dreamboy of California Kevin Fowler was evicted from the Pinoy Big Brother house last night, March 10 on this season's 13th eviction night. The 19 year old Kevin got the lowest percentage of votes among the 4 nominees including Tin Patrimonio, Carlo Romero and Joseph Emil Biggel.

Carlo was the first one to be safe followed by Tin. Bigge and Kevin were left on the hang before finally announcing that it was Kevin who got evicted.

Meanwhile, Seiichi had his final moments inside as he was welcomed by the fans in the outside world. Kevin was welcomed outside by his father.

This week, former PBB Big winners Nene Tamayo, Keanna Reeves and Bea Saw will enter the house as 'Godmothers' who will grant second chances. From last night's teaser "Ang buhay ay nagbibigay ng 2nd chances," it can be inferred that there will be a wildcard from the list of evicted housemates but until this big twist is finally revealed, we cannot drop just a conclusion.

Don't miss PBB Unlimited this week for the Big Revelation. There are few days left for the remaining 6 housemates before the BIG NIGHT which will happen on March 31, 2012 at the Quirino Grandstand.
