Tito Sen Despises Doña Margaret, Black Lily's True Identity Revealed!

Posted on July 24, 2012 | 4:16 PM

Phenomenal TV drama “Walang Hanggan” remains to be the undisputed no. 1 TV program in the country today as proven by the latest data of Kantar Media last Friday (July 20), when it garnered a national TV rating of 37.7%, compared to its rival program in GMA, “Makapiling Kang Muli,” which only got 15.5%.

Eula Valdes as Black Lily (the returning Jane Montenegro played by Rita Avila) and Donya Margaret played by Ms. Helen Gamboa

According to veteran actress Helen Gamboa, who is popularly known now as Doña Margaret, because of the show’s phenomenal success, even her husband Senator Tito Sotto gets carried away with the wickedness of her character. “Tito feels sorry for Ate Henya (Susan Rocess) because of my role’s snobbish attitude,” Helen said. “I always tell him that those things are required in the scenes.”

Helen further shared that like the avid viewers of their drama series, Helen’s kids are also in awe of her very convincing portrayal. “My children laugh at me when they watch the show because I am very different from Margaret; but they are very proud of me that I’m doing my role very well,” she narrated.

Meanwhile, Jean Bonifacio/Black Lily (Eula Valdes) slowly reveals her true identity as the plot of “Walang Hanggan” continues to thicken. What will Marco (Richard Gomez), Emily (Dawn Zulueta), Daniel (Coco Martin), and Katerina (Julia Montes) do when they find out that the one who is seeking revenge from them is Jane (Rita Avila)? How will the prostitute (Wendy Valdez) change Nathan’s (Paulo Avelino) life?

The country's most-watched teleserye Walang Hanggan gets even more exciting with the entry of a new character, Black Lily played by actress Eula Valdez.

Eula Valdez as Black Lily in Walang Hanggan

Eula Valdes will be playing a kontrabida role in the series which will be extended until October. In her interview with ABS-CBN news, Eula hinted that she will be a third wheel to the love story of Marco (Richard Gomez) and Emily (Dawn Zulueta) now that Marco's wife, Jane (Rita Avila) was out of the scene.

“Kung akala nila lovey-dovey na sila nang walang hanggan, ‘yan ang akala ninyo,” Eula said. “Kasi mayroon nang dumating na si Black Lily.”

Previous reports claimed that Eula Valdes will be playing the avenging sister of Jane Montenegro. In the teaser, Black Lily was seen saving the life of Daniel (Coco Martin) so that she can get revenge at him herself.

With the caliber Eula had in portraying these kind of roles, she will definitely be the next abominable character on TV, more hated than Donya Margaret (Helen Gamboa) or Miguel (Nonie Buencamino).

Eula Valdes to Join Walang Hanggan Cast

Posted on June 13, 2012 | 8:12 PM

Actress Eula Valdes is said to be joining the cast of top-rating ABS-CBN teleserye Walang Hanggan. According to online fora, Ms. Eula Valdes will be a new character that will shake Walang Hanggan.

Walang Hanggan, due to its immense success will be extended until October this year and plans about the sequel were already abuzz. In a recent interview during the launch of a cosmetics line, Leyte Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez (who is the wife of actor Richard Gomez playing the role of Marco in Walang Hanggan, one of the series' leads) said that she heard talks about the top-rated series' sequel (read more here).

Eula Valdes Walang Hanggan

Eula Valdes, who portrayed marked teleserye characters such as Amor Powers in Pangako Sa 'Yo and the villain Selina Matias in the remake of Mula Sa Puso will be a very good addition to the country's most-watched series when it's planned second book opens.

However, as Walang Hanggan will be extended until October, new characters will be added to sustain it's story and it is not quite sure whether Eula Valdes will be joining the cast sooner before the planned book 2.

Blogger byxspeaks revealed that Eula Valdes will be playing the role of Jane's (Rita Avila) avenging sister. Jane Montenegro was killed in a plane explosion plotted by Miguel (Nonie Buencamino). There are also rumors that Jane will return to surprise us all, but nothing is confirmed yet and all will depend on the writers of the series.

Walang Hanggan Sequel in the Works?

Posted on June 9, 2012 | 1:49 PM

With the huge success of Walang Hanggan on primetime television, a sequel for this number one program is said to be in the works. A "book 2" is said to be in the planning stage according to Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez.

Walang Hanggan Sequel in the works?

In a recent interview during the launch of a cosmetics line, Lucy (who is the wife of actor Richard Gomez playing the role of Marco in Walang Hanggan, one of the series' leads) said that she heard talks about the top-rated series' sequel.

“They’re going to have a book two, I hear. And it’s just nice how the people have embraced the whole cast and how they’ve welcomed ‘Walang Hanggan’ as part of their nightly viewing habit,” said Lucy who is a fan of the Richard-Dawn tandem in Walang Hanggan.

“ABS-CBN never does anything half-baked, so they’ve always been known for their wonderful teleseryes. They’ve always been known to market it in such a big way,” she added.

Walang Hanggan cast (Are they all coming back for the sequel?)

Rita Avila, Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, Paulo Avelino, Julia Montes, Coco Martin,
Melissa Ricks, Joem Bascon, Ms. Helen Gamboa and Ms. Susan Roces
Previous ABS-CBN series that went back on air with a sequel includes the successful Maging Sino Ka Man of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. A well-anticipated return is also set for JM De Guzman and Charee Pineda's Angelito: Batang Ama which will be back with a much more mature Angelito: Bagong Yugto.

If Walang Hanggan will indeed have a sequel, we hope that the story will get more exciting. Sequels on television are deemed less successful than their respective first books and with Walang Hanggan being extended until August (some reports say that it will be airing until October), viewers might get tired of watching the same faces all over again.

The key will be a great storyline and a new mix of characters that will sustain the program's interesting plot enough to get us all hooked again.
